Factors On Which NEET Cutoff Depends
- Total number of seats available in various medical and dental colleges across the country
- Total number of students appearing for the exam
- The difficulty level of NEET for that particular year
Factors Determining The Merit List In Case Of Tie
If two or more candidates score the same marks, the following tie-breaking factors in the same order of priority are considered to determine the merit list:
- Candidates who score higher in NEET Biology will be placed high in the merit list.
- If after considering the above factor, the tie remains, the candidates with a higher score in NEET Chemistry will be placed higher in the merit list.
- If the tie remains even after considering the above two factors, the candidates with less number of incorrect attempts will be placed higher in the merit list.
- If there is a tie even after considering the three factors mentioned above, candidates senior in age will be placed higher in the merit list.

NEET Cutoff: Comparison
Cut off by All India quota is always higher than state quota. Further in both the quota the seat is further divided as per category like Open, SC, OBC, ST, etc. It will vary for each group. The Cutoff also varies in government, private and deemed University also differ from college to college even in government /private/ deemed. The marks vary each year based on the difficulty level of the paper.
